Avanti 13236 - Two-Way Mandolin and Julienne Slicer

Create culinary sensations in half the time with the user-friendly Avanti® Two Way Mandolin & Julienne Slicer. Designed to slice in 2 directions (in the down-stroke and up-stroke), cutting your favourite fruit and vegetables twice as fast, you'll spend less time preparing food and more time enjoying it! With no detachable parts with exposed blades, it features stainless steel integrated blades that will slice and julienne in three different thicknesses. With a flick of a switch and/or turn of a knob, julienne blades and serrated slicing plate rise to create perfectly even julienne or slices. A wide handle set lower than the body ensures a comfortable grip and keeps your hand out of the way, and non-slip feet keep it stable and secure on the countertop or over a bowl. The large safety guard/food holder holds food securely, protects fingers, and is comfortable to hold. When blades are disengaged the blades rest slightly below the surface of the mandolin for safer handling and storage.

Use & Care:

• Hand wash with warm soapy water prior to first use.
• Secure on a flat even surface or on bowl rim.
• To select Slicing Blade function, turn the Blade Selector Dial (D) clockwise until you have the desired setting.
• To select Julienne Blade function, firstly turn the Blade Selector Dial (D) to desired setting and engage the Julienne Switch (E) by flicking the switch up.
• Place vegetable or fruit on Safety Hand Guard/Food Holder (C).
• Applying light pressure, slide vegetable/fruit downwards and upwards across Blade Plate (B).
• Hand wash only with extreme care under running hot water using a nylon brush and liquid soap. Dry thoroughly. Never use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
